BIO

I have been tracking and studying nature since I was a small boy growing up in rural southwest Missouri. I learned to hunt and fish, read a map, compass and basic wilderness skills. While serving in the United States Army I was exposed to many different skills, including man tracking, self defense and survival.

DwightOver past several years I have been able to study with the best trackers in the world to include master trackers Charles Worsham, Paul Rezendes (both currently retired) Stanley Liston (a retired US Costums Border Protection/Shadow Wolves) and Nathan Kempton. I have also studied nature and tracking with Wilderness Awareness School (founded by naturalist/tracker Jon Young) and participated in wolf tracking expeditions in Idaho. I have trained at the Tracker School (founded by Tom Brown Jr.) were I studied wilderness survival, tracking, and philosophy.

I continue to push my skills and knowledge through extended solo trips into the wilderness and continued education. All of our classes are designed to help you learn and/or increase the skills that you already have.

I have provided training or support for the FBI (ERT, Dallas), North Central Texas Regonial Police Academy, National Park Service, Texas A&M, and University of Texas. I have also taught courses for hundreds of Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Texas Master Naturalist, Cedar Hill State Park visitors and members of the Audubon Society. I’m currently working for Missouri Department of Conservation gathering field data on River Otters.
